People have been eating fresh seafood caught by local fishermen at Coruisk House since the start of last century.
Robin, the owner and chef, selects his fish and shellfish from the Elgol village pier each evening to prepare and serve in the restaurant. In an informal atmosphere guests are shown to a table which is theirs for the evening to enjoy a relaxed meal.
Shellfish is the main catch in Elgol, notably langoustine, crab and squatt lobsters.
King scallops are hand dived in the clear waters of Loch Slapin.
Monkfish is trawled from the loch bottom where it feeds on the prawns.
Wild deer roam the hills around Elgol providing a natural tasty, low fat meat for our tables.
Scottish fillet and rack of spring lamb provide choices for the meat eaters.
The range of fish we serve includes haddock, wild salmon, cod, sole, turbot and halibut and the menu changes with the catch.

We are in the fishing village of Elgol in the Strathaird area of Skye.
From the A87 road through Broadford take the B8083 (marked as the A881 on some maps), signposted for Elgol. Approximately 15 miles along this single track road, Coruisk House is on the righthand side of the road just after the Elgol village signpost.
Allow at least 40 minutes for the drive from Broadford - you'll not want to rush past the stunning scenery.
